Well guys, in just 3 weeks I am 15 pounds lighter. Of course, during the first month of any diet things usually go well for me; after that it's always harder. But I have a few light exercise videos and The Firm's resistance band DVD coming, so with any luck I'll keep shedding the pounds.
45 more to go (or, in my dreams, 60 more)
And for anyone freaking out, I am NOT starving myself. Here's a sample menu:
Breakfast:
1 Danon light & fit carb control yogurt.
Breakfast scramble made with 3 eggs, 3 oz sausage, 1/4c mushrooms & 1/4c onions
Lunch:
3c Salad greens
4 oz grilled chicken
1/4c Parmesan cheese
3T Ceasar dressing
Dinner:
6oz lemon pepper broiled fish
2c steamed broccoli
1 pinapple ring
1/2 cucumber
Ranch dressing for dipping
Snack(s):
2oz cheddar cheese
1/2c peanuts
1c pork rinds
Drinks:
Fruit flavored sparking water (no calorie)
Unsweetened Ice Tea with lemon
Water
Plus I am taking a multi-vitamin, a calcium supplement and, monday through friday, Xenadrine EF (doesn't have ephedra).

So, yeah--notably missing is a bunch of rice and pasta, but after my last blood-test the doc asked me to drastically cut back on how much of that I eat, just so we could see how my body reacted. SURPRISE! My blood sugar levels aren't quite so close to Diabetic anymore, I'm not so sluggish, nowhere NEAR as bloated, and I don't run around craving stuff all day.
Of course, cutting out the caffeine has been HARD. And I have to admit, I do sneak in at least one glass of Diet Coke every day--BUT it's nothing close to the 2 LITRE A DAY habit I used to have, and I have a really good excuse for cheating: Caffeine withdrawal headaches are a BITCH. I tried it for 3 days and well, you know how I haven't posted much this past week? Yeah, headache. I figure I'll just wean myself off of that.
Anywhoo--go me!
